Synopsis

KABUL, CITY IN THE WIND

Aboozar Amini, Afghanistan/Netherlands/Japan/Germany 2018, Farsi + English subtitles, 88 mins, London Premiere

In this unassuming documentary, Aboozar Amini presents the parallel “normal” everyday lives of twelve year-old Afshin and his younger brother Benjamin, and a bus driver in war-torn Kabul. This nuanced film is a love letter to a city and a country ravaged by war, in which its inhabitants strive for a better life in the face of adversity.
