THE MOMENT

From the fallout of 2024's Brat Summer comes THE MOMENT, a sharp, chaotic mockumentary from the mind of Charli xcx that skewers fame at its most self-aware. Blurring satire and pop spectacle, it captures a superstar at the peak of cultural domination, asking what happens when the party refuses to end.

As she prepares for her arena tour debut, Charli finds herself stretched between relentless album promotion, brand deals she secretly loathes and a pretentious director reshaping her vision into something unrecognisable. Creative tensions rise, friendships fracture and social media backlash spirals, until the machinery of fame begins to feel bigger than the artist herself. With rehearsals collapsing and controversy mounting, she faces a choice: double down, disappear or burn it all down...

Steeped in lime green, strobe lights and captured by Sean Price Williams jittery vérité cinematography, THE MOMENT is loud, funny and unexpectedly vulnerable. With a pulsating score from frequent collaborator A. G. Cook and a fearless central performance that toys with persona and parody, it’s both a loving in-joke for Charli fans and a biting critique of the industry that manufactures pop mythology.
