Saturday Morning Picture Club: My Neighbour Totoro

Join us from 10.15am for craft activities, before the film screening at 11am!

The Rio’s beloved and historic Saturday Morning Picture Club is back. This month we’re showing the enchanting family classic: MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO, a magical animated adventure where two sisters discover extraordinary creatures and woodland spirits in the countryside.

Before the screening, we will have arts and crafts activities in the lobby led by Sophie, who as well as being a member of the Rio team has worked with children as a teacher, party host and afterschool club leader for the past five years.

From the legendary Studio Ghibli and director Hayao Miyazaki, MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO follows sisters Satsuki and Mei as they move to a rural home and encounter the gentle forest spirit Totoro. With its breathtaking animation, whimsical Catbus, and tender portrait of childhood imagination, it’s a heartwarming celebration of family, nature and wonder for all ages.

The Picture Club is open to all the family, but the crafts will primarily be aimed at 4 to 10 years. For this month, we will have a special Totoro-themed craft workshop before MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO.
