MY FATHER'S SHADOW

Nigeria, 1993: Kid brothers Remi (Chibuike Marvelous Egbo) and Akin (Godwin Chimerie Egbo) get to spend an unexpected gift of a day with their estranged father Folarin (Sope Dirisu). Together, they voyage into Lagos for the first time, the boys taking in both the colossal city and the hoops Folarin must go through to get them there.

Marking the feature debut of British-Nigerian filmmaker Akinola Davies Jr., this is a vivid and intensely personal child’s eye view of a mysterious father and a country on the edge of political unrest.

"A miraculous gem of autofiction.. A major new cinematic voice." VARIETY

My Father's Shadow is shown in English, Naija and Yoruba and is part-subtitled.
