The Rio’s beloved and historic Saturday Morning Picture Club is back for a special December screening! 

Join us from 10.15am for craft activities, before the film screening at 11am! 

This month we’re showing the laugh-out-loud festive favourite: THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL, a magical musical adventure where our favourite fuzzy puppet friends attempt bring Christmas cheer to even the grumpiest Scrooge! Before the screening, we will have arts and crafts activities in the lobby from led by Sophie, who as well as being a member of the Rio team has worked with children as a teacher, party host and afterschool club leader for the past five years. 

The Muppets bring their unique magic to Charles Dickens’ beloved story as miserly Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine) is visited by three Christmas spirits who show him the error of his ways. With Kermit as Bob Cratchit, Gonzo as Dickens himself, and the rest of the Muppets gang also involved, it’s a musical and heartfelt celebration of kindness, redemption, and festive cheer for all ages.

The Picture Club is open to all the family, but the crafts will primarily be aimed at 4-10 years. For November, we will have a special puppet themed craft workshop before 'The Muppets Christmas Carol'.
