The Rio’s beloved and historic Saturday Morning Picture Club is back!
Join us from 10.15am for craft activities, before the film screening at 11am!
This month we’re screening the all-singing, all-dancing gangster caper from director Alan Parker: BUGSY MALONE... the pint-sized musical classic where kids run the mob and steal the show! Before the screening, we will have arts and crafts activities in the lobby from led by Sophie, who as well as being a member of the Rio team has worked with children as a teacher, party host and afterschool club leader for the past five years.
Set in a 1920s world of mobsters and showgirls (played entirely by children) BUGSY MALONE follows smooth-talking Bugsy as he’s drawn into a turf war between rival gangs Fat Sam and Dandy Dan. With splurge guns, speakeasies, and show-stopping songs, it’s a playful, musical spoof brimming with charm and imagination.
The Picture Club is open to all the family, but the crafts will primarily be aimed at 4-10 years. For November, we will have a special themed craft workshop before 'Bugsy Malone'.
Suitable for children and families. No unaccompanied adults or children.
