Synopsis

THE QUEER ARCHIVE presents HE LOVES ME

The creative platform THE QUEER ARCHIVE presents an after hours screening of the 18rated and critically acclaimed Greek/U.K film production of HE LOVES ME by Greek director Konstantinos Menelaou. The film is produced by The Queer Archive and London based company Ne’er Do Well films and it features some delicious cinematography, hot naked boys in the sand and a soundtrack that features the electronic music pioneer Lena Platonos.

HE LOVES ME

Convinced a holiday away from the city will help mend their rocky relationship, two young men hitchhike to a remote seaside enclave. But even in this golden paradise, doubts they left behind catch up to them, leading to an emotionally charged confrontation that will either result in the crumbling of their already fragile relationship, or an opportunity to once again discover the spark that united them in the first place.

HE LOVES ME, frank in its depiction of sex, is an exploration of the unconventional nature of love and its ability to survive against the odds.

GOLDFISH

Yorgos Angelopoulos (14min, Greece, 2017)

Young Stratis is excited to get a new pet fish, in celebration of his birthday. His father, a rough conservative guy, takes him to the pet store but ends up disappointed in his son’s choice, as Stratis prefers a chubby flamboyant goldfish instead of the more "boyish" option of a gladiator fish. During their return home, the boy declares that his new goldfish is gay. His father won’t tolerate any of this…
